UM1460 swivel head milling machine has two transmission mechanisms: vertical spindle and horizontal spindle. The vertical spindle can be used for both vertical and horizontal milling, and can mill planes, bevels, etc. With the corresponding machine tool mechanism, it can also process spiral grooves, grooves, etc. The two-section swivel milling head can rotate and adjust the spindle at any angle, and can complete the processing of complex parts such as multi-angles and multi-faceted parts in one clamping. The horizontal spindle taper hole can be directly or through accessories to install various cylindrical milling cutters, disc milling cutters, forming milling cutters, face milling cutters and other tools, which is suitable for processing various medium and small parts of planes, bevels, grooves, holes, gears, etc.

Function knobs: Black knobs are typically used for adjusting feed rate, spindle speed, and switching table motion modes, for manual control of machining parameters.

Control panel: The display screen/button area at the top is the core of the equipment's electrical control system, allowing for setting machining parameters and displaying operating status.

Feed Handwheel/Knob: The larger handwheel in the diagram is the component for manually controlling the movement of the worktable (X/Y/Z axes), allowing precise adjustment of the relative position of the workpiece and the milling cutter. The knob next to it is typically used to switch feed modes (manual/automatic) or adjust the feed rate.

Emergency Stop Button: The orange button with a red mushroom-shaped tip is the emergency stop device. Pressing it in an emergency will immediately cut off the power to the equipment, ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment.

The milling machine uses a spindle to drive the milling cutter at high speed, which, in conjunction with the feed motion of the worktable, enables the cutting of planar, grooved, and curved surfaces on workpieces made of metal and plastic. The universal milling head is adjustable in spindle angle (e.g., ±90° rotation), supporting both vertical and horizontal milling, and adaptable to various machining conditions.
