The CW61100 horizontal lathe is a robust and reliable general-purpose machining equipment designed for turning medium to large workpieces. Operation and control area

It is used to fix cutting tools (such as external turning tools, parting tools, etc.).  The tool holder can be rotated manually (using the handle shown in the diagram) to switch between different tools for turning operations (such as turning external diameters, end faces, threads, etc.), making it a key component for multi-process machining.It holds and positions the cutting tools, ensuring machining accuracy;
It allows for quick tool changes, improving the efficiency of manual machining.

Workpiece Support: When machining longer workpieces, the tailstock center can support one end of the workpiece, preventing it from wobbling during rotation and ensuring machining stability;
Tool Mounting:  It can mount tools such as drills and reamers, and, in conjunction with the spindle rotation, enables drilling and reaming operations on the workpiece;
Adjustment Function: The handwheel (the wheel on the right in the diagram) controls the movement of the tailstock along the bed guideway, accommodating workpieces of different lengths and allowing for fine adjustments to ensure the coaxial alignment of the center point and the spindle.

Large carriage handwheel (large wheel on the left): Controls the longitudinal movement of the large carriage along the machine bed (Z-axis), enabling axial feed of the cutting tool;
Medium carriage handwheel (small wheel in the middle): Controls the lateral movement of the medium carriage along the large carriage (X-axis), enabling radial feed of the cutting tool (e.g., controlling the cutting depth when turning an outer diameter);
Operating buttons/switches (upper area): Includes function keys for spindle start/stop, speed adjustment, lighting switch, etc.;
Lighting device (lamp connected by the curved rod above): Illuminates the machining area for easy observation of the cutting process.

Spindle speed change handle/handwheel (large knob/lever at the top): Adjusts the spindle rotation speed by switching between different gears (to suit the cutting requirements of different workpiece materials and machining processes);
Operating buttons (on the right): Includes control buttons for spindle start/stop and emergency stop, directly controlling spindle operation;
Feed speed change handle (knob at the bottom): Adjusts the speed of the tool's feed motion, controlling cutting efficiency and machining accuracy;
Nameplate (on the left): Displays the corresponding gear parameters for spindle speed and feed rate, for easy reference and adjustment by the operator.

Chuck Type: Four-jaw independent adjustment (each jaw can be moved independently), capable of clamping irregularly shaped workpieces (such as square, oval, and eccentric parts), and also suitable for clamping round workpieces;
Clamping Accuracy: High centering accuracy can be achieved by adjusting the jaw positions, adapting to workpieces of different sizes and shapes;
Operation Method: Manually rotate the lead screw on the back of the chuck (or adjust with a wrench) to control the opening and closing of the jaws, completing the clamping/unclamping of the workpiece.

Guide rail (the metal track at the top of the diagram): Provides precise guidance for the movement of the large carriage, ensuring the linearity of the tool feed and directly affecting machining accuracy;
Lead screw (the threaded rod in the diagram):  Works in conjunction with the nut on the large carriage to convert the rotational motion of the handwheel into longitudinal (Z-axis) linear motion of the large carriage, enabling axial tool feed.
